We provide transitional housing for men in Chicago and the surrounding Cook County areas with a core expertise in education and training.
Our restorative program creates a learning environment with resources to men aspiring to re-enter the community at large.
At Willis House of Refuge we are proud of the significant impact we have made in our community. Over the years, we have helped hundreds of men transition from the streets to stable housing, meaningful employment, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Our Program
We are a sober living program that offer curriculum-based technical counseling, professional development, vocational training, substance abuse prevention, case management, and healthy relationship building.
Based in the heart of Chicago, our programs are designed to enhance skills, increase employability, and foster personal growth.
Continuing Education
By equipping our clients with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, we aim to break the cycle of homelessness and build a brighter future for our community.
Our courses cover essential areas such as literacy, behavioral modification, technology, professional development, and spiritual growth.
Support for Communities
Through our efforts, we have not only transformed the lives of those we serve but also strengthened the fabric of our community by reducing homelessness and fostering a culture of compassion and support.
How We Serve
At Willis House of Refuge NFP, we aspire to have our clients leave our program drug free, employed, independently housed, and reintegrated back into society as a productive citizen.
We provide transitional housing to men who are ex-offenders , ex-substance abuse users, and/or homeless.
Our program offers a clean, safe, and sober living environment and we also provide meals, medical screenings, and counseling in the following areas:
Individual and Group Counseling
Educational Workshops and Seminars
Behavior Modification
Community Linkage Programs
Job Placement Support
We aim to be an example of what community involvement can accomplish and know our program positively affects the quality of life for residents of at-risk communities. Our belief is that providing opportunities for these populations will undoubtly effect other social problems including destruction of families, rampant drug and alcohol abuse, crime, and incarceration rates.
Willis House of Refuge is committed to creating a save and supportive environment for all our clients. However, we are unable to accept clients who are registered sex offenders.
